WORKSHOP

Fun games with geometry

The workshop of Fun games with geometry offers fun in creativity, based on the model of a game for pre-school children in nursery schools in the nineteenth century. What children “do” in nurseries is have fun and the means of achieving it are “fun games”. With the given supplies, the participants of the workshop make objects or forms (letters, geometrical shapes and figures) on cardboard using simple materials (sticks and modelling material). This fun is related to the subject of mathematics – geometrical morphology.

Sticks and beads will lead us to our goal. What the goal will be, you’ll have to play and see. You can play with your sister or brother, father or mother, or your best friend Mike. After the Museum workshop you can show your geometry knowledge to anyone you like!

Duration: 45 minutes.

Participants: pre-school children, lower form elementary school pupils.
